Steps

   Edit layers in the browser, then download a PSD or PNG ZIP.

What it does

You upload a JPG, PNG, or WebP up to 10 MB: a poster, a product photo, a character illustration, or an AI-generated picture. About a minute later you get a stack of layers at their original positions. The area hidden behind each removed object is filled in, so you can move or hide things without leaving a hole.

After the split you can work on single layers in the browser: retype text that separated, remove text, recolor a layer, replace a layer from a prompt, or open the whole stack in PhotoCraft, a browser PSD editor with masks and blend modes. Then download a PSD that opens in Photoshop, Photopea, Affinity, GIMP, Clip Studio Paint, or Krita, or a PNG ZIP.

Who uses it

How much it costs

You can try it free without an account: one preview split per day at 1K, watermarked and not exportable, so you see how your exact image separates before paying. A full 2K split costs 5 credits and includes both the PSD and the PNG ZIP, however many layers come back. Recolor costs 3 credits and Replace 4. If a split fails or times out, the credits are refunded automatically.

The 100-credit Starter pack is a one-time payment of $24.90 with no subscription and credits that do not expire for years. Heavy users can choose Creator Monthly (500 credits a month) or Studio Yearly (6,000 credits a year). Current prices are on pricing.

What it does not do

It does not recover the original PSD a designer made; it creates new layers from what is visible. It does not keep the original font when you retype text. It does not create vector files, Live2D or Spine rigs, or animation. Very busy pictures can merge small details into one layer.
