An ImageToLayers alternative: how Image Layered compares
Both imagetolayers.com and image-layered.app split a flat image into transparent layers, rebuild the background behind removed objects, and export a PSD or PNG layers. They differ mainly in how you try them, how you pay, and how broad the product is.

When imagetolayers.com is the better pick
If you want one subscription that also covers AI image generation, video models, virtual try-on, upscaling, and bulk background removal, a broad suite is convenient, and their annual Creator plan gives a large credit pool for about $10 a month. They also publish an API, an affiliate program, and a Discord community.
We did not run the same images through both tools for this page, so we make no claim about which split is more accurate. Try both on your own image; the quality difference depends heavily on the picture.
When Image Layered is the better pick
If you only need layers, you can check the result before you pay anything: the daily 1K preview works without an account, so you see how your exact image separates. If you buy, the Starter pack is a one-time payment with no renewal to cancel, and a split that fails gives the credits back automatically.
After the split, the editing tools are built around the layers: retype text on a separated layer, remove text, recolor a layer (3 credits), replace one (4 credits), and open the stack in PhotoCraft for masks and blend modes. Character and game-art workflows have their own guides, for example Live2D parts separation and anime character to PSD.
How to compare them on your own image
Use the same source image in both. Hide every layer except the background and look at the filled area. Solo the subject and check the edges around hair and hands. Count whether text came back on its own layer. Then compare what that test cost you.

Try it on your own image
One free 1K preview split per day, no sign-up. Full 2K splits are 5 credits, failed splits are refunded automatically, and the Starter pack is a one-time payment.

Is Image Layered the same company as ImageToLayers?
No. They are separate products. image-layered.app is also not imagelayered.com.
Which one is cheaper?
It depends on volume. For a few images, our one-time 100-credit pack (20 full splits) avoids a subscription. For heavy use of many AI tools, a broad annual plan can cost less per month. Their per-layering credit cost was not published on the pages we checked.
Can I try Image Layered without signing up?
Yes. One 1K preview split per day without an account. Exports need a full 2K split (5 credits).
What happens if a split fails?
On Image Layered the credits are refunded automatically when a split fails or times out.
