How Image Layered works

Image Layered turns one flat JPG, PNG, or WebP into transparent raster layers you can hide, recolor, retype, or export as a PSD or a PNG ZIP.

Steps

  1. 1. Upload a clean source

    Use a JPG, PNG, or WebP up to 10 MB. Clear edges separate more cleanly than heavy compression.

  2. 2. Run one split

    A signed-in 2K split costs 5 credits and includes the PSD and the PNG ZIP. Guests get one 1K preview a day and cannot export it.

  3. 3. Inspect the stack

    Toggle visibility one layer at a time. Names are a hint. The pixels in the layer are what you edit.

  4. 4. Edit only the selected layer

    Edit text types new words into the box. Remove text hides the layer. Recolor costs 3 credits. Replace costs 4 credits and redraws that layer.

  5. 5. Export or save

    Download the PSD or the PNG ZIP. Saving the project does not charge another split. A failed split is refunded.

What the PSD contains

The PSD keeps raster layers, transparency, visibility, and order. It does not reconstruct native fonts, vectors, smart objects, or the edit history of an original design file. Text from a flat image stays an image until you retype it.

PhotoCraft is the browser editor for that PSD: blend modes, masks, and the same stack. Opening it is not a second split.

What it is not

It is not a one-object background remover, a vector tracer, or a rigging tool. Character layers and scene layers are useful preparation. Meshes, deformers, parameters, and animation stay in your application. Image Layered does not create Live2D Cubism parts.

It also does not translate text and does not bill you per returned layer. The 5-credit price is the split. Recolor and replace are separate edits after that.

Where to start

Use image to layers for a general split, JPG to PSD with layers when Photoshop is the handoff, and poster to layers for a flat poster. Edit text and remove text are the wording tools. Separate a character into layers is the figure workflow, and it does not produce a rig.

The short version of a first session is the same five steps above: a clean file, one split, a layer-by-layer check, one edit, then the export. You do not pick a rig preset, and you do not install a model.

Questions

Does export cost extra credits?

No. The 2K split is 5 credits and includes the PSD and the PNG ZIP. Downloading a finished project does not add another charge.

What if the split fails?

A failed or timed-out split is refunded. A result you simply dislike is not a failed task.

Can I use the layers in another design app?

Yes. The PSD and the PNG ZIP are ordinary raster files. Binding or animating them happens in that other app.
